The story goes that, in the beginning, the Devil came upon the world with his fallen angels and lived not in peace, but to create temptation. From that came the demons. And from the demons and the devil, came the witches and from them, were born the vampires, men cursed as wolves and so and so forth. Magic has always existed, magic is always evolving. It starts with Christina Maurier, née Morag Cairns. Word is she's been around since before Christ, possessing magic passed down to her by those with magic and the consorts of the Devil. She has been the theme of many horror stories, from a child killer to the temptress of men. She owns properties throughout the world, and she has owned minds throughout the centuries. Her power reaches all over, particularly in the village where she now lives, surrounded by her adoring cult. She's had many children throughout the millennia. Not all of them have survived, not all of them have been monstrous, and her most recent one is not born out of the various lords she has seduced. Some twenty years ago, she called the Devil on speed-dial and asked for a favor: a creation she could call her own, made of magic and flesh, to do her every bidding and keep her company. A contract was written in which she would splinter off a piece of her soul and hand it over to Satan; then she had to sacrifice about a hundred goats; and finally, accept and love him for everything that he was. (That last one was optional.) Thus, out of a shitload of entrails, hell-fire and magic, Evan was born. With pale skin, blue eyes, and a pair of horns. Surely no one would find it weird to see Christina raise him as her own child, complete with lessons in disemboweling creatures of all kinds to read the future, how to make soup out of babies' bones, and watching every show she wanted him to. It was a pretty happy household growing up, if you don't count the fact that he was rarely allowed to leave and was magically bound to obeying her every order. Aside from that, he totally loves his mom. POWERS / CONDITIONS children and... goats - given that his mother is particularly fond of luring in children to make their nightmares come true, it's only convenient that Evan has powers of influence that make it easy to lead them astray. They are less likely to question him when he makes promises of candy and free wi-fi. The same goes with goats, though they just follow him around and do his bidding with or without internet connection. steak me up inside - a lot of goats were sacrificed to make him become a reality, so. that's essentially what his insides are made of. he still bleeds and gets horribly hurt, but he'll heal a lot more quickly if he replenishes himself with the same animals he's made of. they don't have to be fresh; any dish will do. (side note: if he happens to have a chunk of his flesh eaten, guess what it'll taste like.) pain magic - and just as he can get hurt, he can use that same pain to practice powerful magic. it all comes down to manipulating forces/warping reality, though nothing on a big scale. think Neo from The Matrix: defying gravity, stopping bullets, crazy fight sequences tragically produced in 3D. the pain can be self-induced. perma-horns - while the rest of his body is vulnerable, his horns are indestructible. do what you like, nothing happens, and he'll feel nothing - except an uncomfortable tug on his forehead. So please don't. no dogs allowed - dogs, especially shepherd breeds, make him nervous.
